Met officer in court charged with offences

A serving Met Police officer is due to appear in court following an investigation by Hertfordshire Police.

PC Jake Cummings, attached to Central West Command Unit, has been charged with two counts of rape, three counts of stalking, three counts of controlling and coercive behaviour and three counts of voyeurism.

These charges relate to three female victims.

He is due to appear for trial at St Albans Crown Court on Monday, 2 September.

The Met’s Directorate of Professional Standards is aware and PC Cummings has been suspended from duties.
