Metropolitan Police Service charges Tim Westwood with further offences

The Met has issued two new charges to Tim Westwood, 68 (03.10.1957), of Westminster, as part of an ongoing investigation.

He has been charged with:

• Indecent assault
• Sexual assault

It is alleged that:

• In 1991, he indecently assaulted a teenage girl aged 16 to 17 in Hammersmith and Fulham.
• In May 2004, he sexually assaulted an 18-year-old woman in Wandsworth.

These charges are in addition to those brought against Westwood in October 2025 relating to seven women:

• Four counts of rape
• Nine counts of indecent assault
• Two counts of sexual assault

Westwood is now facing a total of 17 charges involving nine women.

Detective Superintendent Andy Furphy, from the Metropolitan Police Service, said: “The women who have made reports have placed their trust in us, and we remain committed to providing them with all available support.

“Independent support is also available through Rape Crisis via its 24/7 Rape and Sexual Abuse Support Line.”

Westwood is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court at a future date in relation to the two additional charges.

A trial relating to the original 15 charges is scheduled to begin at Southwark Crown Court on Monday, 25 January 2027.
