Murder investigation launched after fatal stabbing in Brent
Police have launched a murder investigation after a man was stabbed in Brent - and are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
At around 18:05hrs on Wednesday, 11 February, police responded to reports of a stabbing at an address in Manor Park Road, Brent.
Officers, along with the London Ambulance Service, attended the scene and found a 33-year-old man with stab wounds. Despite the best efforts of paramedics, he was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
Formal identification has yet to take place, and officers are working to inform the victim’s next of kin.
At this early stage, no arrests have been made, and a crime scene remains in place.
Detective Chief Superintendent Luke Williams, who leads policing at the North West Command Unit, said: “Our thoughts at this time are with the victim’s loved ones.
“We are aware of the concern this incident is likely to cause in the local community. At this stage, it is believed to be an isolated incident, and we are stepping up patrols in the surrounding area.
"Detectives from the Met’s Homicide Command, working closely with local officers, are making urgent enquiries, and we would ask anyone in and around Manor Park Road to check for relevant CCTV and dashcam footage, which could prove vital to the investigation.
“We urge any residents with concerns to speak to the local neighbourhood team, who are at hand to provide community support around the investigation.”
