UPDATE: Two charged in Streatham murder investigation

A man and a woman will appear in Bromley Magistrates’ Court today charged with murder.

Mayara Loiola Ataide, 34 (07.08.89) of no fixed address, and Gevaldo Tavares Dos Santos, 46 (13.10.77) of no fixed address, were charged with murder on Wednesday, 28 February.

They were also charged with two counts of arson with intent to endanger life.

Both will appear in custody at Bromley Magistrates’ Court today, Wednesday, 28 February.

Police launched an investigation after we were called to the multi-occupancy house in Glenister Park Road by the London Fire Brigade at 19:07hrs on Sunday, 25 February.

A 49-year-old man was found dead inside the property. His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by family liaison officers.
