Police appeal after 80-year-old seriously injured in Hayes collision

Detectives are appealing for witnesses to a collision which left an elderly woman with serious injuries.

At around 08:36hrs on Thursday, 11 December, officers were called to a collision between a car and an 80-year-old pedestrian on Reynolds Road, Hayes.

Officers attended with the London Ambulance Service, and the woman was taken to hospital. She remains there in critical condition.

The driver of the car, a 20-year-old man, is assisting officers with their enquiries.

Detective Constable Rory Atkins, from the Met’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “Our thoughts are with the victim and her family following this incident.

“We are appealing for anybody who witnessed the incident, or who may have relevant dashcam or CCTV footage, to come forward.”
