Police release CCTV image of suspect after man assaulted at McDonald’s
Detectives have released a CCTV image of a man they wish to speak to after a serious assault at a restaurant on Oxford Street in May.
They are now appealing for the public’s help to trace the suspect as their investigation continues.
On Thursday, 29 May at 23:12hrs officers were called to reports a man had been assaulted at a McDonald’s.
Police attended alongside the London Ambulance Service who treated a 45-year-old man for a serious injury to his eye before taking him to hospital.
The motive for the attack is unclear but the victim and suspect had argued before the assault took place.
The suspect made off following the incident.
Detective Sergeant Eric Somerville, who is leading the investigation, said: “Do you recognise this man? Were you in the Oxford Street area on Thursday, 29 May?
“Do you know anything about this incident that may help our investigation? We have followed up several lines of enquiry already but need the help of the public to identify the suspect.”
