Renewed appeal for information after teen stabbed in Enfield

Detectives are re-appealing for information five months after a teenager was seriously injured in a stabbing in Enfield. Four people have been arrested as the investigation continues.

Police were called at 21:54hrs on Saturday, 20 January to reports of a stabbing on Southbury Road, near to the entrance of Bush Hill Park.

Officers responded and provided first aid to a 15-year-old boy, who had been stabbed in the chest.

The boy was taken to hospital with injuries that were initially assessed as life-threatening. Following multiple weeks of treatment he was discharged from hospital.

Detective Constable Doug Haggerty, from the local policing team in Enfield, said: “Our investigation has been under way for a number of months since this incident happened and we have been working tirelessly to identify those responsible. I’d like to thank everyone who has come forward so far and ask anyone who has not yet spoken to us to please come forward.

“Thankfully, the young victim has recovered from his injuries however he still suffers from breathing and other significant health issues as a result of this attack. It is really important we bring those responsible to justice.”

Four people were arrested in connection with this investigation, all have been released on bail.
