Serving police officer to appear in court

PC Mahad Abdalla has been bailed from Westminster Magistrates to appear on 24 April 2024 at Harrow Crown Court.

PC Abdalla was arrested following an alleged off-duty incident on Saturday 23 March involving a woman known to him.

He was charged on Sunday 24 March with non-fatal strangulation and assault and appeared in custody at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Monday 25 March.

PC Abdalla, attached to the Territorial Support Group on the North West Basic Command Unit, has been suspended from duties.

Enquiries by the Met’s Directorate of Professional Standards are ongoing.

Following the report to police, a woman has been safeguarded.
