Two arrested in Hounslow murder investigation

Two people have been arrested on suspicion of murdering a 22-year-old man in Hounslow.

A man and a woman, both aged 21, were arrested on Sunday, 5 July and have been taken into custody.

Police were called to the junction of Bath Road and Great Southwest Road at 01:47hrs on Tuesday, 30 June following reports of a stabbing.

Officers attended the scene with the London Ambulance Service to find Haruun Hassan, who was local to the area, with serious injuries. Despite the efforts from emergency services, he was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

Haruun’s next-of-kin continue to receive support from specialist officers.

Detective Chief Inspector Paul Waller, who is leading the investigation said: “Our thoughts remain with Haruun’s family during this very difficult time.

“Our investigation is progressing and we have made two arrests, with those people now in custody.

“We continue to ask any witnesses or anyone with information about what happened to Haruun that night to please contact us as soon as possible.”
