Two charged with murder following fatal collision in North Kensington

Two people have been charged with murder in connection with a fatal collision in North Kensington.

Charles Egonye, 19 (25.08.2007), of Wulfstan Street, W12 and a 17-year-old boy from the Southall area, were charged on Wednesday, 30 September. They will appear before Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court this morning.

They had been arrested on suspicion of murder on Monday, 28 September.

A murder investigation was launched after police were called at around 01:20hrs on Friday, 25 September to reports that a man had been found seriously injured on North Pole Road.

Officers attended with the London Ambulance Service but, sadly, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

He has since been named as 24-year-old Kariem Abdelhalim. His next-of-kin continue to be supported by specialist officers.
