Two charged with murder of Josh McKay in Waltham Forest

A man and a woman have appeared in court after being charged with the murder of a man who died after in Waltham Forest.

Tenika Parker, 38 (21.02.86), of Canterbury Road, Waltham Forest, and Daniel Cooper, 21 (20.02.03) of Gosport Road, Waltham Forest, have been charged with the murder of 33-year-old Josh McKay.

Parker appeared at Thames Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 3 October and Cooper appeared on Friday, 4 October at Uxbridge Magistrates’ Court.

Both were remanded in custody to next appear at the Old Bailey on Tuesday, 8 October.

Renai Belle, 29 (20.2.95), of Edmonton, was charged with murder on Wednesday, 10 July. He appeared at the Old Bailey on Friday, 12 July.

A trial has been scheduled to start at the Old Bailey on 28 April 2025.

Police were called shortly before 15:00hrs on Saturday, 6 July to reports of a man stabbed in Lea Bridge Road, E10.

Despite the efforts of emergency services, Josh McKay died at the scene.

His family continue to be supported by specialist officers.
