Two men charged following fatal Leyton stabbing

Two men are due to appear in court after a man was fatally stabbed in Leyton.

Abdullahi Abdi, 24 (12.02.02) of Lincoln Street, Leytonstone, and Hanet Ahmed, 25 (01.12.00) will appear at Thames Magistrates Court on Monday, 27 April charged with murder.

At around 00:40hrs on Thursday, 23 April, police were called to Saint George’s Road following reports of an altercation between a group of people.

Officers attended with the London Ambulance Service and a 24-year-old man was treated for stab injuries.

Despite the efforts of paramedics, he was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. He has been formally identified as 24-year-old Suhayb Abdulkadir. His next-of-kin continue to be supported by specially trained officers.

Four men were arrested that evening on suspicion of murder. One man has been bailed, another released under investigation, and the remaining two were charged as above.
