UPDATE: Three men charged over fatal Newham shooting

Detectives investigating the murder of 42-year-old Masum Miah have charged three more men in connection with the fatal shooting.

Leonel Friman Intasse, 18 (07.06.2008) of High Street, Sittingbourne, was charged with murder on Wednesday, 23 September. He has been remanded in custody and will to appear at the Old Bailey on Friday, 25 September.

Renars Ludins, 47 (24.11.1978) of no fixed address, was charged with murder on Saturday, 29 August. He was remanded in custody and appeared at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, 29 August. He will next appear at the Old Bailey on Monday, 17 May 2027.

Mihai Stancu, 36 (15.07.1990) of Charlton Crescent, Barking, was charged with murder on Tuesday, 8 September. He was remanded in custody and appeared at Thames Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, 9 September. He will next appear at the Old Bailey on Monday, 17 May, 2027.

Around 03:00hrs on Tuesday, 18 August, police attended St Bartholomew’s Road following reports of a shooting.

Officers attended with the London Ambulance Service, where Masum sadly died as a result of his injuries .

Masum’s family continue to be supported by specially trained officers.

Detective Chief Inspector Dan Whitten, who is leading the investigation, said: “Our thoughts remain with Masum’s family as they come to terms with his tragic death.

“We are continuing to appeal to anyone with information that could assist our enquires to come forward.”
