Victim named in Tower Hamlets murder

Detectives investigating the murder of a man in Tower Hamlets are continuing to appeal for information.

Joshua McLean, 31, was fatally shot in Weavers Fields, Wilmot Street on Tuesday, 6 August.

A post mortem examination gave the cause of death as a gunshot wound to the chest.

Detective Chief Inspector Linda Bradley, who is leading the investigation, said: “We are grateful to all those who have contacted us so far and we are keen to hear from anyone else who may be able to help.

“Joshua’s family are understandably devastated and we need to get them the answers they deserve. If you can assist us with our enquiries, please do so – no piece of information is too small.”

At this early stage there have been no arrests and enquiries continue.
