Appeal for information after serious collision in Harrow

Detectives are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision in Headstone Lane, Harrow in the afternoon of Monday, 26 January.

At 13:31hrs, police were called to reports of a road traffic collision between a vehicle and a tree on Headstone Lane, Harrow Weald.

Officers attended the scene alongside the London Ambulance Service and the London Fire Brigade.

Four people, a 75-year-old, 44-year-old and two aged 43, were assessed at the scene by paramedics before being taken to hospital. One of the passengers, a 43-year-old woman, is now believed to be in a life-threatening condition.

The driver, a 75-year-old woman, has been assisting police with enquiries. No arrests have been made at this stage.

Officers are now asking the public to share any information they may have about the incident, particularly dashcam footage of the collision.

Detective Sergeant Fiaz Janjua, from the Met’s Serious Collison Investigation Unit, said: “Our thoughts are with everyone impacted by this collision.

“Our investigation is ongoing and we continue to review relevant CCTV footage. We are appealing to the public for assistance and ask that anyone who witnessed the collision to contact police as soon as possible. Any information could be helpful."
