Appeal for information following serious collision in Ealing

Detectives are appealing for witnesses following a collision in The Vale, Ealing which left a pedestrian in critical condition.

Police were called at around 14:30hrs on Friday, 23 January to reports of a collision involving a pedestrian and e-scooter which was travelling westbound along The Vale, Ealing.

Officers, alongside the London Ambulance Service, attended the scene and a man in his 80s was treated for injuries. He was taken to hospital where he remains in life-threatening condition.

The driver of the e-scooter stopped briefly before abandoning the scooter and heading off on foot along The Vale towards Acton.

Detective Sergant Fiaz Janjua from the Met’s Serious Collison Investigation Unit, said: “Our investigation is ongoing, and we continue to review CCTV footage from the area at the time of the incident. However, we are appealing to the public for assistance and ask that anyone who witnessed the accident to contact police as soon as possible. Any information could be helpful to the investigation.”
