Appeal for witnesses following fatal collision in Enfield

Detectives are appealing for witnesses to a fatal collision in Enfield.

Police were called at about 12:45hrs on 31 December 2024 to reports of black Peugeot 208 in collision with a female pedestrian on Argon Road at the junction with Albany Road, N18.

Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended. Despite their efforts, the 58-year-old woman died at the scene.

Her next of kin have been informed and continue to be supported by specialist officers.

The driver of the car, a woman in her 20s, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. She has been bailed pending further enquiries.

Detectives from the Roads and Transport Policing Command are investigating. They would like to speak with anyone who saw the collision or captured it on dash cam.
