Boy charged over Wembley stabbing
A boy has been charged as part of an ongoing murder investigation in Wembley.
An investigation was launched after police were called to reports of a stabbing at Brent Civic Centre on Engineers Way at around 14:30hrs on Tuesday, 25 August.
Officers attended alongside the London Ambulance Service and located a teenage boy with stab wounds. Despite the best efforts of paramedics, he sadly died at the scene.
Formal identification has yet to take place, but the victim has been named as 17-year-old David Wynter. His next-of-kin are aware, and continue to be supported by specially-trained officers.
An investigation is ongoing, and, on Tuesday, 25 August, officers arrested a 15-year-old boy on suspicion of murder.
He was charged with murder on Thursday, 27 August, and appeared at Willesden Magistrates’ Court. He will next appear before the Old Bailey on Friday, 28 August.
