Five men have been charged as part of an ongoing investigation by the Met’s Flying Squad

The operation follows seven high-value burglaries, where it is alleged the defendants targeted shops in the Westminster, Kensington & Chelsea areas of central London.

The offences are reported to have taken place between May and July 2025.

George O’Hare, 36 (14.01.89), of Wormholt Road, Hammersmith and Fulham, was charged with-

  • one count of non-residential burglary,
  • one count of possession with intent to supply class A,
  • two breaches of a Serious Crime Prevention Order (SCPO),
  • one count of possession of criminal property.

Christopher Gibbs, 42 (06.02.83), of Talbot Road, Westminster, was charged with four counts of non-residential burglary.

Three other men were also charged with one count of non-residential burglary. They are-

  • Lee McCready, 44 (27.01.81), of Grand Junction Place, Uxbridge,
  • Matthew Windrass, 49 (17.01. 76), of Park Crescent, Ascot,
  • Anthony Munday, 29 (28.08.85), of Harrow Road, Westminster.

The five men were arrested on Tuesday, 5 August.

They have been remanded in custody and will appear at Wimbledon Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, 6 August.
