Further charges following Old Kent Road fatal stabbing
- Three more teenagers are due to appear in court charged with the murder of Yeray Sanchez-Morales, aged 17.
A 16-year-old was arrested on Friday, 5 September and charged with murder, grievous bodily harm and possession of an offensive weapon on Saturday, 6 September.
On Sunday, 7 September two 17-year-olds were arrested and charged with murder and grievous bodily harm.
They will all appear at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 8 September.
A 15-year-old boy, charged with murder, grievous bodily harm and possession of an offensive weapon on Thursday, 4 September, will appear at the Old Bailey on Monday, 8 September.
None can be named for legal reasons.
Police were called to Old Kent Road SE1 at 22:47hrs on Wednesday, 27 August by the London Ambulance Service after reports of a stabbing. At the scene they found two boys, both aged 17, with stab wounds.
Yeray was taken to hospital in a life-threatening condition. On Wednesday, 3 September he sadly died.
The second victim was taken to hospital where his injuries were deemed non life-changing or threatening. He has since been discharged.
Police are still appealing for witnesses to the incident, which happened outside a busy McDonalds on Old Kent Road to come forward, including anyone who was driving and may have dash cam footage.
