Man arrested as detectives continue murder investigation in Brent
Officers investigating a fatal stabbing in Brent last week have arrested a man on suspicion of murder.
A murder investigation was launched on Wednesday, 11 February after officers were called at 18:05hrs to an address in Manor Park Road, Brent following reports of a stabbing.
Officers attended with the London Ambulance Service and a 33-year-old man was located with stab wounds. He sadly died at the scene despite best efforts of paramedics.
He has since been named as Mohamed Malki. His next of kin are aware and receiving support from specialist officers.
A murder investigation has remained ongoing and on Sunday, 15 February, detectives arrested a 36-year-old man on suspicion of murder. He has been bailed to return on a date in mid-March.
Detective Inspector Barry Hart, who is leading the investigation said: “Since Mohamed’s death, detectives have been working at pace, carrying out enquiries in the local area to build a picture of the events that night.
“I continue to encourage anyone who has any information in relation to Mohamed’s death to contact officers and assist with our investigation.”
