Man arrested in connection with linked series of antisemitic offences in Barnet
Officers investigating a series of antisemitic incidents in Barnet have made an arrest.
This afternoon, Friday, 12 September, a 37-year-old man was arrested in the Hendon area on suspicion of religiously motivated criminal damage in connection with the seven offences. He was taken into custody where he remains.
Enquiries continue and we currently have an increased police presence in the area.
Detective Chief Superintendent Luke Williams, responsible for policing the North West Command, said: “This is a significant development in our investigation following substantial CCTV enquiries by officers. We remain in close contact with the local Jewish community as we continue to provide our support and reassurance.”
