Man charged over Hanwell murder

Detectives investigating a fatal stabbing have charged a man with murder

Police were called at around 22:15hrs on Monday, 10 February 2025, to a pub in Oaklands Road, Hanwell, to reports that a man had stumbled into the premises with serious injuries.

Officers attended the scene alongside London Ambulance Service crews, and found 33-year-old Dariusz Serafin there with knife wounds. Despite the efforts of paramedics, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Over the past year, homicide detectives from the Met's Major Investigation Team have conducted extensive enquiries.

On Monday, 9 February, detectives arrested Fayne Newman, 32 (08.09.1993), of Humes Avenue, Hanwell on suspicion of murder. He has since been charged with murder and will appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court this morning (Thursday, 12 February).
