Man charged over murder of woman in Greenwich

A murder investigation into the death of a 29-year-old woman in Greenwich has seen a man charged.

Yurii Muzyka, 33 (23.03.92) of Burlington Road, New Malden, was charged with murder on Friday, 5 September and was remanded in custody.

Police responded to reports of a stabbing at a residential address in Trafalgar Road, SE10 at 22:20hrs on Wednesday, 27 August.

Police arrived shortly after, but despite the best efforts of emergency services, Halyna Hoisan – known as Lina – was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. Her family are being supported by specialist officers.

Muzyka will appear at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, 6 September charged as above.
