Man charged with Croydon murder
A man has been charged with murder following the death of a man in Croydon in 2021
Cimarron Dume-Gooden, 32 (27.04.1993) of no fixed address was charged on Monday, 16 June with the murder of Leroy Mitchell, 35, and perverting the course of justice.
He has been remanded into custody to appear at Uxbridge Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, 17 June.
Police were called shortly before 05.00hrs on Saturday, 2 October 2021, to reports of a man shot in a car park in Birdhurst Road, after leaving a silent disco in Croydon.
Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended. Despite the best efforts of emergency services, Leroy was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
Another man has previously been charged in connection with Leroy’s murder. Alpacino Veii 28, (01.08.1996), of Hassocks Road, Streatham was arrested on Thursday, 22 May and charged the day after with murder and possession of cannabis. Veii appeared at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 23 May. He was remanded in custody before attending the Old Bailey on Saturday, 28 May. Alpacino Veii will next attend a Pre Trial Preparation Hearing on 12 August. A trial is scheduled to start on Monday, 9 February 2026.
