Man charged with murder after fatal stabbing in Camden
A man has been charged with murder following the death of a man who was stabbed in Camden
The Crown Prosecution Service has authorised a charge of murder against Dylan Gan, 21 (10.10.04), of Lithos Road, Camden.
He will appear at the Old Bailey on Monday, 2 March when the charge will be put to him.
The new charge follows the death of 25-year-old Suleyman Nuh.
Police were called at 16:27hrs on Thursday, 29 January, to reports of a stabbing on Alvanley Gardens, Camden.
Suleyman was taken to hospital in a critical condition. Doctors sadly pronounced Suleyman’s life extinct on Friday, 6 February. His life support machines were switched off on Monday, 9 February.
His family continue to be supported by officers.
In a tribute, Suleyman’s family said:
“Suleyman was loved by everyone around him, he was incredibly social and eager to lend a helping hand.
“He will forever be remembered.”
Gan was originally charged on Sunday, 1 February with attempted murder while Suleyman was still receiving medical treatment in hospital. Following his death, the charge has been upgraded to murder.
Gan was also previously charged with possession of a knife in a public place, possession of an offensive weapon in a private place and possession of a Class B drug. In relation to these charges, he appeared at Highbury Magistrates' Court on Monday, 2 February when he was remanded into custody.
