Man charged with murder following Lavender Hill stabbing

A man has been charged with the murder of Rinneau Perrineau after he was fatally stabbed in Wandsworth.

Muhammed Cabdiqaadir, 25 (05.10.2000), of Hope Street, Wandsworth, is due to appear in custody at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 27 October. He is also charged with possession of a bladed object.

On Tuesday, 21 October at 15:26hrs police were called to reports of a stabbing on Lavender Hill, Wandsworth.

Paramedics treated 19-year-old Rinneau at the scene for stab wounds before taking him to hospital. Despite the efforts of medical staff, he sadly later died in hospital on Friday, 24 October.

Rinneau’s family continue to be supported by specialist officers.

Cabdiqaadir was arrested on Saturday, 25 October and charged on Sunday, 26 October.

A second man, aged 23, was arrested on suspicion of murder on Friday, 24 October. He has since been released on bail.

The investigation remains ongoing.
