Man charged with murder of woman in Fulham
A man has been charged with murder after a woman died in Fulham.
Police were called by the London Ambulance Service to a property in Tyrawley Road, SW6 at around 01:10hrs on Thursday, 30 April after reports that a woman had been found with head injuries.
Despite the efforts of paramedics, a woman in her 40s was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. Following a post-mortem examination, her cause of death was found to be blunt force trauma.
The victim has been formally identified as 46-year-old Sophinia Bertrand. Her family are being supported by specialist officers.
Mehdi Madar, 45 (17.07.80), of Tyrawley Road, Fulham, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder and was taken into police custody. The suspect was known to the victim.
He has been charged this afternoon, Friday, 1 May with murder. He has been remanded to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court tomorrow morning, Saturday, 2 May.
