Man charged with two counts of murder following fatal fire in Walthamstow
A man will appear in court charged with murder after two men died in a house fire in Walthamstow.
Police were called at 22:24hrs on Sunday, 21 April 2024 to reports of a fire at a residential address in Forest Road, E17.
Officers attended alongside colleagues from the London Fire Brigade.
Two men were sadly found dead inside the property. They have been formally identified as 24-year-old Mohammed Djellal and Faouzi Bouchadoe, 35. Their families are being supported by specialist officers.
A murder investigation was launched by detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command.
On 10 August 2025, the Crown Prosecution Service authorised murder charges against Fouad Boudra, 25 (24.03.01).
An international arrest warrant was issued by a judge on 27 August 2025.
A 25-year-old man was arrested in France on Monday, 26 January. He was extradited to the UK on Thursday, 2 April.
Fouad Boudra, 25 (24.03.01), of no fixed address, is due to appear at Uxbridge Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 3 April. He has been charged with:
- Two counts of murder
- Two counts of manslaughter
- Causing grievous bodily harm with intent to a third man
- Arson with intent to endanger life
