Men charged in connection with Clapham murder investigation
Two men have been charged as part of an ongoing investigation into a fatal stabbing in Clapham.
Police were called at 04:37hrs on Saturday, 25 July following reports of a man attending hospital with a stab wound.
The victim, a 22-year-old man, sadly died in hospital despite best efforts of medical professionals. His next-of-kin continue to supported by specialist officers.
A murder investigation has been launched, with enquiries indicating that the victim was fatally stabbed on Tremadoc Road in Clapham.
Officers quickly arrested six men on suspicion of murder.
Javed Khan, 22 (24.07.2004), of Maskell Road, Wandsworth, has been charged with murder and violent disorder.
Adonay Berhan, 27 (01.09.1998), of Mason’s Avenue, Croydon, has been charged with assisting an offender.
Both men will appear at Bromley Magistrates' Court this morning, Monday, 27 July.
A 25-year-old man, who was arrested on suspicion of murder, remains in police custody. He had received hospital treatment for injuries that were neither life-threatening nor life-changing and has since been discharged.
Three men, two 22-year-olds and one aged 24, who were arrested on suspicion of murder have been released with no further action, following further enquiries.
