Officer to appear in court charged with sexual assault

A serving police officer will appear in court charged with sexual assault.

PC Tom Devine, attached to the Met Operations Roads and Transport unit, will appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 20 January charged with one count of sexual assault by touching.

The offence took place on 9 April while the officer was off duty, and relates to an individual who was known to him.

PC Devine is currently suspended from duty.
