Police appeal for missing man from Greenwich
Police are appealing to the public for help to locate a man who has absconded from a secure hospital in Greenwich.
Officers were called shortly after 13:20hrs on Wednesday, 31 March and informed that, Menelik, 46, had absconded from staff while on an escorted visit to shops near Deptford Dockland Light Railway Station.
He is believed to have then boarded a number 53 bus towards Lambeth North.
PC Luke Hill, who is leading the investigation, said: “My team are continuing to carry out extensive enquiries to locate Menelik, but he remains missing.
“If seen, we ask the public not to approach him and call 999. Anyone who may have been in contact with Boakye is urged to get in touch with police immediately.”
Menelik is described as 5ft9 tall and of medium build.
He was last seen wearing a black jacket, black jogging bottoms, and blue trainers.
He is believed to have links to Streatham and is also known to frequent the Brixton area.
Anyone who sees Menelik is asked not to approach him but to call 999 immediately.
Anyone who has other information about his movements should call 101 quoting CAD 3843/31MAR.
