Police continue to appeal for information to find missing man

Met officers continue their search for a man missing from Hackney, who has not be seen for over a month.

Jason, 56, was last seen leaving his home address in Hackney on Wednesday, 5 November.

He is 6ft tall and is described as having a skinny build. He was last seen wearing black Sketchers, black bottoms and a black hoodie.

Jason's family have now provided a photo of him, taken in January 2024.

CCTV images also show Jason in a shop on Theydon Road, Hackney, on Wednesday, 22 October. While this was filmed prior to when he went missing, officers believe the footage better shows what Jason looks like now.

Amanda, Jason's sister, said: “Jason, if you see this, we love and miss you. Knowing you are safe will be the best Christmas present we could ask for.

“We need to find Jason as he is vulnerable. If you see him, please contact the police."

Sergeant Kevin Hook, from the Central East Command Unit, said: "We remain increasingly concerned for Jason’s welfare, as he has now been missing for several weeks. Officers are working tirelessly to locate him as soon as possible.

“I’d like to thank Jason’s family for working so closely with us during this investigation. They grow more anxious by the day to see him returned to them safe and well.

“We are asking anyone who may have seen Jason or has information about his whereabouts to contact police immediately.”

Anybody who sees Jason or has information that might help police with their investigation is urged to call 101, quoting ref 876/07NOV.
