Third man charged following fatal Leyton stabbing
A third man has been charged following a Met Police investigation into the stabbing of a man in Leyton.
Faruq Ismail, 25 (18.05.2000) of Eclipse Road, Plaistow was arrested on Monday, 11 May and charged with murder. He will appear at Thames Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, 12 May.
At around 00:40hrs on Thursday, 23 April, police were called to Saint George’s Road following reports of an altercation between a group of people.
Officers attended with the London Ambulance Service and a man was treated for stab injuries.
Despite the efforts of paramedics, 24-year-old Suhayb Abdulkadir was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. His next-of-kin continue to be supported by specially trained officers.
Four men were arrested that evening on suspicion of murder.
Abdullahi Abdi, 24 (12.02.2002) of Lincoln Street, Leytonstone, and Hanet Ahmed, 25 (01.12.2000) were previously charged with murder on Sunday, 26 April. They are both remanded in custody and will next appear at the Old Bailey on Wednesday, 15 July.
One man, aged 24, has been bailed and another, aged 22, has been released under investigation.
In a tribute, Suhayb’s family said: “Suhayb lit up every room he entered and put a smile on the faces of even those who did not know him.
"He was an amazing uncle to his niece, honourable brother to his siblings and dutiful son to his mother.
"Although his death has been devastating, it has been heart-warming to hear the many stories from people from all walks of life sharing the massive impact he has had on them.
"His presence, warmth and kindness will never be forgotten and he has left an everlasting impact on all of those who were fortunate to know him.
"We love you immensely, Suhayb, more than you know, and we cannot wait for you to be reunited with your brother.”
