Two men charged following Westminster ram raid
Two men have been charged following a ram raid in Westminster in the early hours of Friday morning.
Officers were called to the Yves Saint Laurent store in Old Bond Street shortly before 03:00hrs following reports that thieves had used an SUV to smash their way in before stealing a number of high value items, including handbags.
Detectives from the Met’s Flying Squad, who have been probing a series of similar raids on high value retail stores in recent months, picked up the investigation and two men were arrested later the same day.
They were taken into custody and charged on Saturday evening as follows:
Ryan Brough, 32 (22.02.93) of Courtney Road, Islington and Max Tyson, 25 (10.10.2000) of St Peter’s Street, Islington were charged with conspiracy to commit burglary between November 2025 and January 2026.
Both men were remanded in custody to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court tomorrow – Monday, 26 January.
Enquiries are ongoing to locate a third man believed to have been involved in the Yves Saint Laurent incident.
