Two men charged with attempted murder after Arnos Grove shooting
Two men are due to appear in court charged with attempted murder after a boy was shot and critically injured following a shooting in Arnos Grove.
Benjamin Marmah, 19 (26.08.2006), of Richmond Road, Potters Bar, was charged on Saturday, 18 October and remanded in custody to appear at Willesden Magistrates’ Court the same day. He was arrested on Friday, 17 October.
Kitan Ojelade, 18 (11.09.2007), of Creswick Court, Hertfordshire, was charged on Thursday, 23 October and remanded in custody to appear at the same court the following day. He was arrested on Wednesday, 22 October.
Both men were remanded to prison and will next appear at the Old Bailey on Friday, 14 November.
On Saturday, 18 October a separate 17-year-old was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and possession of a firearm. He has been bailed pending further investigation.
On Thursday, 9 October, police were called at 17:04hrs to reports of a shooting at High Road, Arnos Grove.
Officers attended alongside the London Ambulance Service who treated a 17-year-old boy at the scene. His injuries are no longer believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.
The boy’s family have been made aware of this update and continue to receive support from specialist officers.
The investigation remains ongoing.
