Two people charged after death of a child in west London

Two people have been charged with murder as part of an ongoing investigation into the death of a three-year-old girl in 2023.

Emergency services were called to a residential address on Pennine Way, Hayes at 18:09hrs on Sunday, 17 December following reports of a child being found deceased.

The child was identified as three-year-old Penelope Chandrie from Hayes.

Penelope’s death has remained under investigation and on Thursday, 25 September two people were arrested in connection.

Following consultation with the Crown Prosecution Service, both people have been charged with murder in connection with Penelope’s death.

Manpreet Jatana, 34 (02.05.1991) and Jaskiret Singh Uppal, 36 (25.07.1989) both of Pennine Way, Hayes will appear at Uxbridge Magistrates' Court on Friday, 26 September.
