Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward following the death of a 27-year-old woman in Chadwell Heath Lane, Romford.
A serving Met officer has been charged with misconduct in public office.
Detectives are now offering a reward of up to £15,000 for information that leads to the identification, arrest and prosecution the man who fired the weapon.

On Saturday, 16 August at 05:34hrs police were called to Chadwell Heath, Romford following reports of an assault.
Arlind Hashani was arrested in Paris and extradited back to the UK where he was charged with Ahmed's murder.
Sufia Khatun, 73 sadly died at the scene.
This follows the arrest of more than 700 people since the group’s proscription on 5 July.
Clifford Cowen will be sentenced Monday, 1 September.
Clinton Easy, 32, was sentenced on Thursday, 14 August.
